IBEW Local 697 has started the “Sisters of 697” Committee to encourage and enhance the solidarity and participation of women in our Local Union.

The Sisters of 697 Committee will set its own goals based on the needs of our Local Union and the interests of its members.  A strong Women’s Committee will help empower, engage, and retain Sisters who have the desire to expand membership, promote leadership, and support our Local Union. 

This committee is for all sisters of Local 697, across all job classifications, a place through which you can discuss, collaborate and help resolve issues specific to women in our Local.  Additionally, this initiative will be a place to foster a culture of solidarity and mentoring among the Sisters of 697, get involved in projects that build up our communities and represent Local 697 at the IBEW Women’s Conferences.

The Sisters have their meetings on the last Thursday of every month.  For more information, please send us an e-mail sisters@ibew697.org
